Sizable Elongated Indian Pierced Brass Pendant Light in the Form of a Gulab Pash
This long, narrow, hanging lamp is in the form of a narrow cylinder ending with a large ball. It mimics an Indian rose water sprinkler or Gulab Pash. Handmade of brass, with intricate, punched-out shapes and depiction of the Taj Mahal, by which light passes. Adorned with translucent glass jewels on the ball and detailed, cast shapes and banding throughout the form. It is large, hanging 64.5" from the top (canopy) to the bottom. India, early 20th century. It has one medium size socket. Newly wired. 49" height (64.5 including chain & canopy) x 12" diameter.
